In Europe, the household sector is the second responsible for most of the greenhouse emissions with 17.9%. The first one is manufacturing with 23.5% of emissions.

However such figures are reflecting a decrease in the second quarter of 2023 (in comparison to the same quarter in 2022), it is important to be aware of our actions and notice that from home, we could make a huge difference.

Living better is not necessarily getting more. Our Era allows us to choose to live better with technological resources, but what do we need to live better and reduce our environmental footprint?

According to the Sustainable Consumption and Production policies, “we are currently consuming more resources than ever, exceeding the planet’s capacity for generation.”

That’s why it’s necessary to reduce the emissions of waste and pollutants, but most importantly be aware of our responsibility here. We need to tend towards creating a stakeholder society, where we can actively learn how we could change our consumption habits.

Keep this reading up and let’s discover what matters when we think about protecting the planet and future generations, in addition to reducing environmental footprint.

Doing more and better with less

What is your sustainable goal?

Probably, we have become disinterested in what we consume and how we do it. But, stop one moment and think how many times you have gotten rid of old clothes, that transparent envelope which came with your last purchase, or the last time you threw that cardboard box or plastic that you could have washed and then placed it in the right bin?

Oh no, this is not a judgment! It is a simple question to review what small actions could make us better consumers and think of the planet as our home, that home we need to protect.

According to the UN Environment Programme, “By 2050 the world population may be almost 10 billion and with more people comes more demand for.” Up to this point, It is necessary to be up for getting a different lifestyle, where we are conscious about what we need, how we get it, and how we get rid of it.

Making more sustainable lifestyle choices

Yes, you’re right! That’s about making better choices when you get stuff, make purchases and choose some cause to support.

Simply, be aware of some problems around you, in your community, and take action with stakeholders to create a better place. Don’t save the world, but consider saving your world in the first place by reducing environmental footprint.

Remember, you are what you learn

This journey is long but joyful, and we want to be with you in the process of learning and transforming your world.

Think about the last gathering you enjoy. You invited some friends, and prepared something delicious, but ouch! ‘I don’t want to wash dishes’. Your option, buying some plastic or disposable utensils. Everybody does that, but you have the choice of thinking better now and informing yourself about the better option to enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends without sacrificing the planet.

This is the point, look around you and notice the small actions that could lead towards a conscious lifestyle. Sometimes it is not easy, making the effort and keeping on track is a process, but it can make a difference, and you would be helping to reduce environmental footprint.
